Awards for Disrupting Class
Posted by michael_horn | Under Schools Thursday Dec 18, 2008This has been an exciting and flattering couple weeks for Clayton, Curtis, and myself as the authors of Disrupting Class. First, Strategy + Business named Disrupting Class the best human capital book of 2008, and then just two days ago Business Week named it one of the 10 Best Innovation & Design Books of 2008.
We are honored by both. We only hope that this further advances the dialogue on how to improve our schools in the years ahead–-and leads to concrete action that does so. Our children deserve nothing less.
So nice to know you’re blogging about the book. After reading Disrupting Class last May, I began a series of 10 blog posts about the book and how it affects our project, the California Learning Resource Network , which reviews electronic learning resources. The blog posts can be found here: http://bbridges51.edublogs.org/category/computer-based-learning/
I’m also presenting about the book at the California Computer Using Educators conference next March in a session I call, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. More info, and a promo video, can be found here: http://bbridges51.edublogs.org/2008/11/24/disruptive-innovation-vs-education-part-10/
